Belmont Shore Car Show (9-07-2008) Preview : (Long Beach,Ca.) 19th Annual custom car show held on 2nd street in Belmont Shore area of Long Beach. Perhaps one of the best "Free" car shows to attend in Southern California. The focus is on Muscle Cars & Hot Rods but there were a few Lowriders & Bombs grabbin' attention. Beautiful SoCal day, plenty of very high quality rides to check out. Since the show is on the streets of Belmont Shore there are many restaurants & bars for taking a break to eat, drink, hang out & enjoy the day.

NHRA 2009 Auto Club Finals Qualifying : (Pomona,Ca.) TESTING VIDEO ... I can not begin to explain how much FUN the NHRA drag races are. The noise, the smell, the stands and ground shaking as the Nitros take off from the line, if you have never been you must attend!!! For me the best day and best value for your money has to be qualifying on Saturdays. You get to see 2 rounds of Pro Stock and two rounds of the Nitro Funny Cars & Dragsters. In between rounds visit the pits and watch the crews tear apart the engines and rebuild them, you are so close that when they test out the engine in the pits the nitro will make your eyes water !! The drivers are very fan friendly signing autographs & taking pictures. I like sitting towards the starting line, the view you see here is from Section CC about row 30 (Top Eliminator Club). If you want to save money but still sit at the starting line get Reserve seats in section 1 or section 2. Some people like sitting mid track so they get to experience the race passing by more at full speed. Thats one thing so great about being at the drag races, the different experiences you get from where you are sitting.
